Shoulder Season Comes For Us All...

As you can probably infer from the slow drip of content the past couple of weeks, there is A LOT going on in Coal Trader World at the moment.

For starters, my client roster was already very full when David asked me to take the wheel here. Add in a hand-curated newsfeed, a website to update, a trading system to run, a dataviz service and two email delivery systems to learn – all at the start of earnings season, no less – and calling it a baptism by fire would be putting it mildly.

But the outside projects do have end dates on them, I’m getting more familiar with the website and email services, I think I can streamline some of the dataviz feed, and I even sent out a couple of trade alerts today. The one remaining challenge is the newsfeed, which has proven difficult to execute in real time whilst also in meetings and on calls most of the day.
