Happy New Years!!
My goal is to build the best “One stop shop for coal markets, news and analysis” on the planet, and to that end I’ve been developing a coal news model on thecoaltrader.com homepage.
I want to introduce it to everyone here because I think it’s a valuable tool that everyone watching the coal space should be using. Here’s a quick overview on what it is and how to navigate it. By the way, this is all FREE.
The Latest Coal News is at the top of the homepage. You can click the “Load More” bottom at the bottom of the section to see all the news flow in chronological order:
There’s also a Coal Producer Archive if you scroll down a bit on the homepage. Here you can click on the various companies at the top to filter for news articles and analysis. In the image below, you can see that I’ve selected to filter for Ramaco:
Towards the bottom of The Coal Trader homepage, you can peruse the Regional News Archive. Select from the various regions at the top in order to filter for news articles from a particular region:
If you want to research either Metallurgical Coal or Thermal Coal, you can navigate to either page underneath the Coal Markets header in the navigation, refer to the red arrow below:
In this section you will find the news and premium articles which I’ve determined to be the most important for either met or thermal market research.
If you scroll lower on each of these pages you will see Forward Price Curves for various coal futures products:
